Aaliyah Daniel Haughton shot to stardom in 1994 with her album debut Age Ain't Anything But an Numer. It was Gold at the age of just 15 years old. This collaboration was highly influenced by R. Kelly, and put the singer on the map. The year 1996 saw her release her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the hit number one track If Your Girl Only knew. Aaliyah gained international fame for her R&B songs through the album. Aaliyah was a part of the legendary Jet-Li, the famous martial artist in Romeo Must Die (2000) which was an action-packed romance film. Joel Silver spotted her in an award show. In 2002, she was able to appear in the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was inspired by The Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels was her first appearance in The Matrix Sequels. She was also as a character in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2007). She received four Grammy nominations from 1999 to 2003. Aarti Mann is of Indian heritage and was born Connecticut. Mann is a shortening of her husband's last name Mankad. She employs Aarti Man as well as Aarti Mahumdar as her professional name. Her acting career started in the mid-2000's with minor roles on TV and films. Some of her most notable roles include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. She also appeared in several commercials including Volvo and many other major car brand names. She has a daughter, resides in Los Angeles and is pursuing her acting.
