Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds soul gospel jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's real the name of Denise White. While she now lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church where she sang and was a pianist. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in Atlanta's R&B culture. The very first song to feature her voice was called Stalk You the Japanese version of 12 track. Since then, it was remixed and has become a component of her repertoire. Additionally, she was a part of The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. She became the primary piano player for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls production during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition during her four daily performances in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform at President Barack Obama's inaugural in 2009.
