Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Haughton was famous in 1994, when she dropped her debut album Age Ain't Nothing but the number. The album, made available at just 15 years old was certified Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring the singer to the forefront. In the year 1996, Jermaine Durpri and Timbaland collaborated to produce the second album of hers, One In A Million. The album included If Your Boyfriend Only Knew as the single number one. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B singing on the album. Aaliyah appeared alongside legendary martial artist Jet-Li in Romeo Must Die (2000), an action and romance film. Joel Silver spotted her in an awards show. The film she was in was the vampire film that was based on Anne Rice Queen of the Damned, which came out in 2002. Then she was introduced to the Matrix by playing Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also appeared in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She is the first generation Indian-American to be born in Connecticut. Mann is the abbreviation used for her husband's first name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar as her professional names. Her acting career started in the mid-2000's with minor appearances on television and in films. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. In addition, she has appeared in commercials for big brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. She currently lives in Los Angeles along with her spouse, daughter, and husband. She is also pursuing her acting profession.
