Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded to fame in 1994 after her album debut Age Ain't Anything But A Numer. She was only 15 at when the album was released and it went on to become Gold. The collaboration that influenced R. Kelly's music and made her a star. In 1996, she debuted her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album featured the number one hit track If Your Girl only had known. Aaliyah became a household name as an R&B artist following the release of her sophomore album One In A Million. She was also on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. She got this role after being spotted by the film's producer Joel Silver at an awards show. In 2002 she was part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels followed, which featured Zee playing her role. She has also used Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. The acting career of her began in early 2000 with small roles on TV and films. Other notable work includes Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. In addition, she was a part of several commercials, including Volvo as well as other major auto brand names. She lives in Los Angeles where she continues acting as an actor.
