Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994, after she debuted her first album Age Ain't Nothing More Than a Number. The singer was barely 15 when the album became Gold. R. Kelly was a significant influence in this project that put her in the limelight. The year 1996 saw her release her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. It contained the number one hit track If Your Girl only had known. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B artist after her album's release. In 2000, she was on the screen in Romeo Must Die, a action/romance film starring Jet-Li. Joel Silver, the film producer, met her at the awards ceremony and kindly offered her this part. The year 2002 was the time she appeared as part of the Anne Rice-based movie about horror Queen of the Damned. The Matrix Sequels followed, which featured Zee playing her role. Mann uses Aarti Man and Aarti Mahumdar to refer to her professional name. Her acting career began in the mid 2000's, with a few roles on TV and films. Some of her other notable work comprise Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. She has also been featured in commercials for big brands like international car manufacturer Volvo. The actress lives with her family in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and is continuing to develop her acting profession.
